Middle School

Middle school is a key transitional period. Our Middle School offers a safe and supportive learning environment where students can discover their unique gifts and critical thinking skills through a biblically integrated approach.

Middle School students experience all core courses and extra-curricular activities like our fine arts programs (Art, Band, Chorus), athletics, and community service. Our teachers strive to know each student individually and encourage and challenge them in and outside the classroom.

Foundations for Middle School

  • Encourage a growth mindset
  • Create a supportive environment
  • Incorporate hands-on learning
  • Encourage critical thinking
  • Link learning to life
  • Celebrate achievements

At KCS, we get to know each middle school student individually.  Our goal for our students is to inspire and encourage them to grow in wisdom and stature in their walk with the Lord.

KCS offers unique opportunities for our middle school students to excel and discover their gifts and talents.  In the beginning of the year, we host an on-campus middle school retreat.  This serves as an opportunity for our middle school students to bond and participate in team-building activities.  Throughout the year, our middle school students also serve as mentors in our Knights and Pages program with our elementary students.

A PRIVLEGE

At KCS, I see it as an adventure and a privilege to embrace continuous learning. KCS is more than just a school—it’s a home. Your classmates feel like family, and education goes beyond academics. It’s about shaping our faith and preparing us for a brighter future.

Letter from the Principal

At KCS, students prepare for college and beyond with a combination of rigorous academics and important world experiences. Students are supported and encouraged as they find their path and achieve their goals with a variety of activities, adaptive learning opportunities, and intentional college preparation.

At KCS, there is no academic ceiling for our students, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that our graduates continue their education at leading institutions. Some of the institutions our recent graduates attend include Boston University, Tennessee Tech University, The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Carson Newman, Harding University, East Tennessee State University, and Freed Hardeman University.
